On September 18, 2025, CASIO Philippines partnered up with Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino High School, conducting a Seminar Workshop at the School's Audio Visual Room regarding the different functions that calculators have to offer to learners' daily math-solving experiences. The workshop kicked off with a warm greeting from the assigned emcees, Sir Von Luis Nabartey and Miss Sabrina Aesha Raval, which was then followed by a special, mention thanking the Casio Philippines Representatives present during the seminarโSir Eugene B. Balgemino and Sir Romeo Mislang. โ
Before the seminar officially commenced, the emcees went over some last reminders to ensure the safety and order of everyone within the vicinity for an eventful yet safe event, such as house rules. This was later on followed by a short prayer and singing of the national anthem "Lupang Hinirang", as well as the "TaPat Hymm" and "Taguig Hymm", indicating the start of the event. โ
To begin, an opening statement was then given by Dr. Randy O. Salentes, wherein he highlighted the importance of giving a 100% in participation when it comes to learning, which gives way to an effective process of continuous learning for those that are willing to actively participate. Then proceeding to the Introduction of the Special Guest Speaker of the Day, Ms. Emy Sta. Ana, who started the seminar workshop with the theme of Maximizing the Use of Scientific Calculators in Learning Mathematics. Handouts of mathematical exercises were then given to each student to challenge their critical thinking and track their starting progress.
Right after the Pre-Test, the workshop seminar proceeded with students testing CASIO's Scientific Calculators by using them to conduct different mathematical functions and equations they often encounter in class while applying various tips and tricks given during the event to solve different math problems, ranging from Linear Equations up to Finding the Area under the Number Curve, with the guidance of Ms. Emy Sta. Ana and other teachers present at the said event.
After the workshop seminar was concluded, students were once again given the same mathematical exercise of a 10 Item Post-Test, but this time, with the use of CASIO Calculators to solve them, aiming to track their progress and outcomes in maximizing the use of scientific calculators. For the Certificates of Appreciation, Mr. Emil Arboleda was called upon to distribute them one by one to the actively included participants. Lastly, the assigned emcees led the closing remarks, indicating the end of the event but just the start of a new learning experience that the young, capable minds of BNAHS will surely treasure for a worthwhile.
